The socio-cultural and sports for peace campaigns in Malakal brought together youth, women, community influencers, and local leaders to promote peace education, leadership development, good governance, and civic engagement. Using sports as a unifying platform, the initiative encouraged dialogue, teamwork, and positive behavior among participants, helping bridge community divides and strengthen social cohesion.
The campaigns also provided structured sessions on responsible citizenship, conflict resolution, and community leadership, empowering young people to take active roles in shaping peaceful communities. These activities align with ongoing efforts to build shared values, foster trust, and promote inclusive participation across Malakal’s diverse population.
